Parks & Forests

Seoul Forest | 서울숲

Seoul Forest is a large forest located along the Han River and right by Seongsu.
There are many cafes nearby and rental shops from which you can rent a picnic set!
Many people like to order to-go from cafes and bring a picnic set to have a special picnic at Seoul Forest!
The Seoul Forest Management Office has a rental station for Ddareungi, or Seoul City Bikes.
Since you can ride a bike in Seoul Forest, it'll be a good way to explore many areas of the forest and get some exercise in!
Another interesting thing about Seoul Forest is that you can actually see deer there too!
It's an interesting experience to see the deer grazing leisurely in the middle of a crowded city like Seoul.

On Konkuk University campus, there is a very large lake called Ilgamho Lake (일감호).
It would be a nice experience to visit the campus and take a walk along the lake!
Built of red bricks, this old-fashioned building is the Konkuk University Museum.
Free viewings are held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday, so you can come here and see various artifacts.
The Konkuk University Museum was also used as a filming location for the drama Goblin.
Konkuk University often appears as a filming location for Korean dramas because of its beautiful campus.
It would be fun to take a walk around Konkuk University and find places that appeared in different dramas!

It's not just a spot to have a picnic, but there are many rides for children to enjoy.
Children's Grand Park is smaller than Lotte World and Everland, but it has amusement park rides and a zoo, so there is enough for children to enjoy. In addition, it is less crowded than major amusement parks such as Lotte World and Everland, so you can enjoy it a little more comfortably.

The park is close to subway Line 7 Ttukseom Resort Station.
Don't get it confused with Ttukseom Station on Line 2!
There is a skateboard park at Ttukseom Han River Park where anyone can practice skateboarding.
You can also see expert skateboarders practicing tricks.
There's also a free climbing wall and bike paths, so I really recommend it to those who like to exercise.
