Review
Small location more fitting for a duo due to the seating arrangements. I ordered the following;
• Soy sauce crab (raw with eggs & their signature dish) served in a set
Addional items ordered:
• Spicy sauce marinated shrimp (also raw)
• Soy sauce abalone (you guessed it)
I wasn't blown away by the soy crab. Nothing to do with the quality it was my first one & I think the soy flavour & texture just aren't for me. Same for the abalone. BUT I could have eaten a dozen of the spicy shrimp it was an absolute knock out & I want to go back for a full set of it.

This is my first time having soy marinated crabs and spicy marinated crabs. If you generally like light flavours, go for soy marinated crabs. The crabs go very well with the special rice and house seaweed. Additional portion of seaweed is available at 1,000 won. The spicy marinated crabs are not very spicy, and rather addictive too. 4 stars as I enjoyed the meal but the location is a little far.
Note: please make a reservation on Catchtable before heading there.

Gebang Sikdang, with it's stylish, hip yet casual dining atmosphere, elevates the soy marinated crab eating experience -- without the pretentiousness. We enjoyed both the delicious soy marinated crab and abalone sets. Added a side order of soy marinated shrimp and dumplings and had no regrets. And loved that the banchan felt refined (eg. wispy seaweed sheets with hint of truffle) and were perfect accompaniment. Pricey but definitely recommended :)

Best soy marinated crab I've ever had and the entire set meal was affordable and delicious. Definitely deserves the Michelin star. Don't forget to save some rice to mix in the shell and a nice tip I received was to also use your chopsticks to get more crab eggs from the corners. It was an amazing meal and the service was quick. I can already sense that I'll be craving it later ?.

An excellent place to have the Korean national flavour dish Marinated Raw Crab. This Michelin restaurant located in Gangnam area boasts perennial long queues.
We arrived at 6pm without a reservation but they took us in for 7.30pm seating.
The raw crab set meal’s price is seasonal and we paid 40,000 won for each set. Besides crab (which you can choose a spicy version), they have shrimps and abalone too. Lots of other stuff like bibimbap and noodles but no prizes for the correct guess of what we ordered. Yes it has to be marinated crab.
I have tasted raw crabs in Thailand and Shantou. Even Korean ones in KL and Singapore. This is as good as it gets. The crabs were full of roe and the soy sauce marinate not too salty. Crabs were fresh and when you suck the meat off the shell, it tastes like savoury ice cream, if there’s such a thing.
Pro tip: pinch a slab of rice and place it over a film of seaweed. Top it off with crab roe and wrap. Dip into marinate if you like salty and pop into mouth. Heavenly!
Strongly recommended to try if you visit Seoul. Well deserved Michelin award.
