A UK ETA can be applied for by passport holders from certain countries or territories who do not need a visa to visit the UK. Eligibility is based on the nationality or passport-issuing location shown on your passport, not simply where you live.
Currently, passport holders from the following countries or territories may be eligible to apply for a UK ETA.

Taiwan passport holders may apply if their passport includes the identification card number issued by the competent authority in Taiwan.
