2024 K-ETA Application Guide

K-ETA stands for "Korea Electronic Travel Authorization," a system applicable to foreigners planning to travel to South Korea. K-ETA is a system introduced by the South Korean government to allow nationals of visa-exempt countries to apply for and receive travel authorization online before visiting South Korea. It has been in effect since April 1, 2022, Korean time, and continues to be implemented.

How to Apply for K-ETA via ETAPORTAL

1. Access ETAPORTAL.
2. Choose between 'Regular Application' or 'Urgent Application.'
3. Fill out the application form.
4. Make payment by credit card.
5. Await result notification via email.

Important Notes

• K-ETA approval is required for visits to Jeju Island in 2024.
• Be cautious of difficulties in reapplying if K-ETA application is denied.
• If the same application form is submitted three or more times within six months, reapplication can only be made six months after the initial application date.
• Apply one month prior to your planned date of entry.
• Applications must be based on truth; providing false information may lead to disadvantages.
