Worst.
Came for dinner with two of my friends. We wanted to order 2 bowl of noodles and a set of dumplings to share because we afraid that we can’t finish but the lady staff told us must order a bowl of noodles for each person (with a rude attitude). So we ordered two bowl of soup noodle , one bowl of spicy noodle and one dumpling. Cost us 45000 just for this 4 underrated foods… Me and my friends feel disappointed. Both noodles and dumplings are highly overrated. For a Michelin star restaurant, we expected the taste and the service should be better. The place is crowded and the space between the table too cramped. The lady staff was rude. Definitely won’t come back again. I will not recommend all of you to even come here to try their foods.

Perfect!
No frill good food - but not sure if it’s worth the Michelin or the long queue. We only waited 10min so wasn’t bad at all - definitely worth the visit. It’s clean-ish, fast, traditional comfort food which is exactly what we needed. The cold noodles had too much sauce though

Great!
ORDERED: ? Kalguksu: chicken broth, knife chopped noodles, dumplings (11,000₩) ? Mandu (dumplings): with female pig pork, vegetables, leek, and fresh sesame oil in a transparent skin (12,000₩) REVIEW: My partner and I ordered a Kalguksu each, then shared the Mandu. ❤ The food at Myeongdon Kyoja was delicious and so affordable. The chicken broth was flavourful and they were the bounciest, most evenly cut knife chopped noodles I'd ever seen. They provide a generous side of kimchi that I saw people getting refilled! You do need to confidently shout to an aunty in Korean though... ? ?‍♀️ The process is to walk up to the kiosk, change the language to English and proceed to make the order. Once you make a payment, you receive a ticket where you then walk further in to be seated. You get assigned a seat then you provide your ticket to an aunty and you get your food promptly after! Water is also self serve in the fridges by the wall. It's a great food option and there was so much seating at 5:00pm. There's also another Myeondong Kyoja branch further down the street! (MAIN BRANCH).

Not bad
It was so popular. Always passed by and seeing a line. Finally passed by without a queue so decided to try it out. There are four dishes in the restaurants, we ordered two which are the soy middle and dumplings. To be honest, I don’t know why it’s so popular after trying it. For dumplings, there are lots of better choices, even the noddles. And possibly it’s so popular so the kitchen keep making, so after we ordered and paid, we like getting the food the next seconds.

Great!
After a 12-hour flight, the noodle soup was my salvation. Very flavorful and a good portion size. We waited very little time as there were only two of us. However, everything is very quick, from ordering to service, including the meal itself, in a very noisy atmosphere. Something to experience at least once in a lifetime.
