Nice, but not sure what the hype is about. Had the chargrilled oysters, yes they were tasty but not the best I've had in NOLA. If anything, they were a little on salty side. Seafood gumbo and bread pudding were also good.

Fantastic spot for poboys and other New Orleans classics. I always thought my preferred po-boy was fried gulf shrimp and the one I got here was cooked to perfection, but the fried fish I got for the other half blew me away! The fish was so incredibly soft underneath the fried exterior, I instantly had to rip a piece off for everyone else at the table. Really glad I got a chance to stop by and experience my new favorite piece of fried seafood.

Can’t miss this in New Orleans. We went off-lunch time twice in 4 days trip to take advantage of no line/short line given its shoulder season. (Even it looked like a long line already reaching the door of the adjacent building, it took us less than 10mins in waiting to get seated at bar) The charcoal grilled oyster is must-have and it’s way better than their raw oyster (average in contrast to its brother, nor the raw oysters in other regions, big size but tasteless). Fried alligator is well balance between chewy and tender, better than chicken. 2nd time we also tried their seafood gumbo (bowl) and seafood étouffée, they looked identical! Nuance in taste I guess because of the crab meat, so cost wise gumbo probably wins.

That was the first time I tried alligator meat. It was way better than it sounds...it tastes more like chicken. And the grilled oysters were the best I have ever had in the US. I don't like raw ones (I didn't order here) and these creamy ones are really my favorite! The service was superb. The staff gave helpful recommendations and were really friendly. But be prepared for a wait, especially during the high season. We will definitely revisit this place!

This place was recommended to me by a friend. And it's totally worth going. The food is delicious. The hostess seemed to be a little confused but the waitress was very friendly! I'm normally not a big fan of oysters but the Chargrilled ones we had were really good same as the Fried Shrimp and the Acme Special Po-Boys
