Perfect!
I had a wonderful experience at Cochon, a restaurant that serves authentic Cajun and Southern dishes with locally sourced ingredients. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful, and the service was friendly and attentive. I started with the gator meat, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the spices were out of this world. For the main course, I ordered the Smoked ribs, which was a generous portion of tender and juicy meat with braised baked potatoes. The ribs were cooked to perfection and the sides complemented it well. I had no room for dessert but from what I saw and heard, I missed something heavenly. I highly recommend Cochon to anyone who loves Cajun and Southern cuisine, or who wants to try something new and exciting. The restaurant has a cozy and rustic atmosphere, and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Cochon is one of the best restaurants in New Orleans, and I can’t wait to go back.

Great!
I'm debating whether it's a 3.5 or 4, but I'll be generous and round up. It's not bad but the last time I ate here (over a decade ago), I remember it being outstanding. We ordered the head cheese, Cochon, baby carrots and rabbit stew with dumplings. The head cheese was really good, especially with the pickles. I don't know if they make their own pickles, but they were delicious. I didn't care for the rabbit stew. There was barely any meat in it and the dumplings were dropped on top, so they were pretty dry/hard. The fresh hot dinner rolls were a highlight though - I would have been happy eating just those and the head cheese as my meal. It was completely full the night we were there, but I did notice that they have the capacity for groups. There were a number of tables of 8+ around us. So a good option to keep in mind if you're looking for a place to eat out with a bigger group!

Perfect!
Fantastic Cajun restaurant with excellent food and service! Really enjoyed sitting at the kitchen bar watching the chefs create. Kevin, the chef at the fire pit, was very personable. Our server had excellent suggestions and was very friendly. Everything was amazing from the hot rolls with salted butter, moonshine flight, mac & cheese, shrimp, and meat pie. Definitely a must when in New Orleans!

Perfect!
I had the pleasure of trying this restaurant on my first night in New Orleans for the Berkshire Hathaway Convention. The carrots on top of goat cheese topped with pecans and dill was by far my favorite thing I ordered. It was incredible!! The melted butter, delicious!!!! The wait staff was super friendly as well! Highly recommend!

Good!
Atmosphere is nice. The food is mid. Service is good. The bread is amazing. Pork mainly, so be careful with dietary restrictions. Portion size is on the smaller side. Average 50-70 dollars per person. I do like their gator bites.
