Worst.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The customer service from the moment I stepped in was so rude and dry. I am from another southern state as well and southern hospitality does not exist here. I genuinely think that the staff enjoys being mean to guests and making things difficult. Never saw a single smile on any of their faces over the course of several days. I had to ask multiple times for hospitality services to tidy up the room, it fell on deaf ears. Truly just a horrible experience and impression of New Orleans, will never stay at a Harrah's again.

Perfect!
This location is amazing and you can drink for less if your playing in the casino. You are literally minutes away from the Riverwalk shopping and Port New Orleans. Currently their hotel is across the street but has a very unique underground entry to the casino. They are also building a new hotel that will be directly connected to the back end of the casino. Service is amazing and very prompt. Can't wait until we are in the Big Easy again. Highly recommend this place

The hotel is fine, although service is as bad as you will get in the USA. Casino used to be ok. Since Caesar merger the payouts are abysmal. Tonight I hit four features that didn't even payout my actual bet. That should never happen, but for times in one day? Questionable oversight... And I am Diamond Elite Total Rewards... I recommend everyone stay away!

Not bad
We had paid in full and in advance for our rooms for the week. We arrived early and hoped to check in early. But they said 3 pm at the earliest. Understandable, since check in wasn't until 4. Fast forward to 7 pm. Room still not ready and it wasn't until my wife questioned firmly what was going on, they all of a sudden had a room ready. Front desk staff was not pleasant about it. Room was clean at the surface but that's it. When you really started looking. It was DIRTY. Our room was also not very sound proof and you could hear everything in the hallways when people were passing through and the elevators running loudly throughout the day and night. Unsure how this hotel has maintained 4 stars. It was not a great experience or stay.

I cannot say how disappointed I am by Harrah's New Orleans. If I had to guess I would say that nearly half of the machines are out of service. If you liked to gamble in the mornings, the rewards desk is closed, the bar is closed and the staff is SLOW !! THAT IS IF THEY COME AT ALL. My husband and I sat on a slot machine for ages while we waited for a slot tech to come help. My husband even went to look for a slot attendant himself and he was simply told to go back to the machine and wait. We certainly have not seen anyone winning much of anything. The chairs at the slots were old, battered and torn. The area for smokers is outside and very limited with extremely full machines. My husband is a smoker and really enjoyed playing the two outdoor locations. As of the date of this review, there is only one location and it is always very dirty. I had constant issues with my players card going out of service. They do you have a kiosk to reprint your card but it kept saying that it didn't recognize my account. Sadly, we will probably not return. This used to be one of our highlights of visiting new Orleans. ☹️
