I was very unimpressed with the service I received at this hotel. Before arrival we had checked availability online and decided to wait and book in person. Upon arrival the unfriendly person at the front desk offered us the cheapest room. When we asked to upgrade to a larger size we were told that it was “too expensive”. Completely unprofessional for this worker to comment on what they think I can afford, not to mention a terrible business strategy for the hotel. We should have taken our money elsewhere after that comment but unfortunately we were exhausted from travel. I then was told my total and gave my card to pay and it was not until later that I noticed the extra 100 dollar charge, which wouldn’t have been a problem if I had been informed. Parking was confusing and far from the hotel. Our room was so hot and stuffy and the bathroom wall falling apart with no working fan. Truly expected better for the rating and the price. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Beautiful resort. Very friendly & helpful staff We had one bedroom suite was very gorgeous view on the harbor side. Tugboat going by. View of 2 different bridges. Could even see the Air Canada hangar in the distance Tip Do not get room next to ice machine on same side of the hallway as the ice machine as the noise comes thru the wall very loud

Worst casino experience of my life. I will never return and will never recommend this garbage casino to anyone. We were denied entry due to smelling like alcohol.... The group of us were out for dinner prior to going to the casino and yes we had a few drinks but I do mean a few. Not one of us was drunk, I couldn't believe it. After talking to the manager they allowed us to enter only to have multiple security guards follow us the entire night. I've never felt so uncomfortable... The parq casino and grand villa are light years beyond this place in terms of customer service and just a better casino in general. Don't spend your time or money at this dump.

Pool had zero towels available and overrun by screaming kids. Elevator not working and according to staff has been over 4 months and counting. Super inconsistent and SLOW. The Even the hand sanitizer stations have no batteries so upkeep is seriously lacking Casino requires ID every time you enter no option for a guest badge. Really lacks communal areas as well as we had a group. Super strict on drinks per hour and no lounge to relax in.

We have been to the River Rock 4 times, the service and hospitality is Standard at best… Never impressed. My standards are not exceptionally high, but as a traveller that has been to many places the River Rock Hotel Casino could do a lot better. We do gamble, and the machines are wound tight and we never win much there, Don’t waste your time. Their room prices are also high for the service they offer. Based on the overall experience, we will not be returning. There are other hotels in the vicinity that exceeded the River Rock. Disappointed to say the least.
