lobby restaurant review- fantastic menu, food and service. Generous portions and very tasty. The drinks are okay mid tier. 

broken shaker review - full of people hanging out by the pool. Felt like a relaxed hangout - super chill. Good service though and lots of plug points. I love the bar service and decor. 

Hotel review- Very friendly and courteous staff. No snobbery.

Stayed here for 4 days on a random trip. I really enjoyed the location I walked to almost every restaurant and bar nearby. There’s also a bar on the roof, broken shaker. Nice staff and the drinks at really well made. Valet super helpful as well. The lounge area is nice, spacious and cozy. It’s a very homey feel. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice clean place to stay without breaking your wallet.

We came out for a quick turnaround birthday trip, and everything was great. I will say complimentary water would have been nice haha. Or maybe some that costs less than $7 a bottle, but whatever! That’s LA for ya. I will say that our valet guy CESAR was the best. He was so friendly, and provided quick service. That guy started our day off on the right foot :-). We’ll definitely be staying at the Freehand again in the future.

Had the opportunity to stay at this lovely hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. To begin the staff here are phenomenal, 10/10 customer service from Valet to housekeeping everyone was so professional and helpful i really appreciated it. Rooms were a bit on the smaller side but overall very nice and clean. They have a bar by the lobby and at the rooftop and i would highly suggest checking them both out! Ambience in the lobby area was something out of a book with the dim lights, surrounded by plants and soft music. And very good location as you can get pretty much everywhere in LA within 20-25 mins. Overall would recommend to all! Very cute and will definitely be coming back

The location here is amazing in Downtown LA!!! There is a bar located in the lobby as well as on the rooftop! Many fabulous options available for any pallet. There is also a basement kitchen area that has a refrigerator that is cleaned every day as well as maintained and in great condition. There is only a Microwave to use at this point. Please ensure that you wash your dishes and label your items that you place in the refrigerator. I will say as far as outside safety you do need to be more cautious as for inside the facility security is top notch. There are museum as well as art shows and other major attractions in downtown LA to attend the options are endless. The rooms are phenomenal, the wood is exquisite as well as the restrooms inside the rooms are well kept and cleaned daily as well. The staff here give nothing but top notch service and priority top cleanliness and customer satisfaction. There is a workout room in the basement next to the kitchen with a plenty of workout gear to get a great workout in!
