My family and I travel a lot in both the states and in Canada. I have NEVER been to a more UNFRIENDLY kid hotel…especially on family weekend. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone talking in their rooms. This is not any guests fault. However, our children were told to be quiet several times even when they were whispering. I’m a teacher and deal with children all the time. The kids were appropriate and patient. My final straw was when politely asked for a place that the kids could play so we could be considerate to other guests. As a kind house keeper went and checked for us, my kids sat quietly on the stairs and someone came out of a conference room and told them to be quiet. They were as quiet as mice talking to each other while they patiently waited. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone with a family. It’s by far the worse hotel I’ve ever visited and I’m so sad. 5stars to house keeping though, they were so sweet.

Room was mid for the price. Room service was quick and friendly but the food was mid-tier considering the expected quality. Room smelled like smoke at one point, not sure if it someone else on my floor was smoking. The front entrance was always jam packed with cars which made it hard to navigate or get picked up/dropped off. Other than that it’s a great central location.

I'd always wanted to stay here growing up in Ottawa and finally got the chance. We decided to stay one night as we were seeing a show at the NAC. Great location with steps from the lively bar scene on Elgin. The hotel itself was rich with history so a lot more appealing than your average hotel; there's something so magical about preserving the heritage of a building and being able to have a glimpse of life back then. A beautiful building and our king bed room was spacious, clean and had good views, we had a corner view so that was very fun. Thank you to the team there who made the stay that much more enjoyable. Friendly and fast service from all. Might make this an annual visit!

The ONLY complaint was that the walls of our room (1019) adjoined another room and they were paper thin. It sounded like our neighbours were in the room with us. Room was big, very clean. Service and price were amazing. Pool and hot tub were great. Amazing location.

Fantastic location downtown. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Valet parking was convenient and a breeze. The room was great. We celebrated our anniversary together and couldn't have asked for more. Thanks
