Review
This was our second stay there in the last year. Being one of only three Hyatt properties in Waikiki, the Regency definitely stands out as the best. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially if you're lucky enough to snag an ocean-side room where you can hear the waves and catch stunning sunsets.
As Globalists, we love the perks—no resort fees and access to the Regency Club with its breakfast and evening snacks (which can basically be dinner). While suite upgrades aren't offered, the upgrade to an Ocean view is totally worth it.
Now, the rooms may not be the trendiest, but they're always spotless. And let me give a shoutout to the housekeeping staff for being so accommodating.
Location-wise, it's hard to beat. With shopping and activities galore, there's never a dull moment. Overall, our experience at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort And Spa was worth coming back for another.

I really enjoy it here, but a few things could be changed. I really appreciate the view and how kind the people are. The breakfast is ok, but I think it could be better. The problem is how slow the elevators are. It is always packed with people and I usually just use the stairs because it is faster. It also takes forever to check into the hotel. Sometimes your bathroom will have some sort of problem, this week the shower was dirty and wouldn't drain very well. I like how the ocean is just right across the street, and even if you don't, get an ocean view, it will still be addicting to look out the window.

While the hotel itself was great and also had some great amenities, I feel that there are a couple issues that need to be resolved. Due to the air pressure from the often windy nights, the glass panel pops in and out very often and makes for very loud bangs keeping you up at night. Also, unless you get credit for the buffet it is not really worth the price. The cheapest you'll get it is $45 USD for breakfast and even then I did not feel like it was worth it despite there being some premium food and ingredients. No need to eat there though, since you're steps away from great food places in the rest of Waikiki.

What an amazing hotel, they have everything you need from stores, restaurants, gym, rental beach towels and equipment, and so much more. There is a parking garage and a pool plus car rental services. There are daily activities that come with your stay. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The service and staff are amazing. Highly recommend

Stayed in November on points. Location is what keeps the ratings here so high. Since I was traveling solo and just happy to be in Hawaii, I didn’t let some things bother me. But the rooms.. need lots of work. There was a huge water stain/leak in the ceiling by the AC unit. The bathroom sink area walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years, carpet was insanely used looking, dirty and bubbling. Overall it seemed like a pretty gross, unclean room. Not at all meet the expectations of a Regency. I’ve stayed in much nicer best westerns.
Location - 10 of 5 stars, couldn’t be better
Rooms - 2/5 stars
Didn’t eat the food there as I already know it’s severely overpriced. Waikiki Market is around the block and has delicious hot meals!
