In general, you do not need to reapply if your flight schedule or travel plans change after your UK ETA is approved.
A UK ETA is linked to the passport used in the application, not to a specific flight or accommodation.
This means you can still use your existing UK ETA if your flight time, airline, accommodation, or travel date changes, as long as your passport information remains the same.
A UK ETA is generally valid for 2 years from the date of approval, or until the linked passport expires, whichever comes first.
During the validity period, you may visit the United Kingdom multiple times for permitted purposes.
However, if any important information changes, such as the details below, you should apply for a new UK ETA through ETAPORTAL.
- You receive a new passport
- Your existing passport expires
- Your name or nationality changes and your passport information changes
- The passport used for your UK ETA application is different from the passport you will use for travel
In other words, a simple UK ETA flight change or accommodation change does not usually require a new application.
However, if your passport information changes, your existing UK ETA cannot be used, and you must apply again using your new passport details.
