Review
The hotel is situated in a high security part of the city so you should expect very strict security measures in place. They scan all luggage and baggage upon each entrance and if you walk in by foot you need to go through two scans upon each entrance. After check in when the porter brought the luggage to our room, they advised that there was an issue with my luggage because I had a knife in my bag. This was part of a cutlery set and was not even sharp, this interaction seemed like an accusation of some wrongdoing and just left me and my partner feeling embarrased. So, my initial impression was more akin to entering a military compound than a luxury hotel.
The hotel itself is very nice, well maintained and staff were friendly but often untrained or inexperienced, the room was clean and comfortable. We ended up not spending much time at all in the public areas as there really wasn't much to do or much of an atmosphere. The pool, fitness centre and spa are closed at the moment. We visited on a weekend and still the bar was completely empty, loud and expensive so we just walked in and out. The take away breakfast was pretty terrible, it consisted of a stale croissant, jars of condiments but with no cutlery to use it with, two pieces of fruit, a sandwich that was just bread and spread, and a juice box. After having that we decided not to eat in the hotel again.
We booked the hotel car which was a very reliable service, quite expensive but that's to be expected.
At the end of the day if you need a safe and comfortable hotel this is a good option but considering the price and my experiences here vs other hotels in the area I would not return.

Excellent hotel, clean and well appointed. Rooms aren't massive but have everything you need and are well maintained. Service is faultless, staff are accommodating and friendly. I arrived in Delhi earlier than expected, I asked for an early check-in as well as leaving my bags. I was provided an early check-in hours earlier than I would ever expect which I really appreciated. The only downside is that a number of facilities are unavailable due to renovation at the moment. Central location also, would definitely stay again. I also can't ignore breakfast, it is simply exceptional with multiple fresh to order options, an egg station, crepes/pancakes, Indian pancakes and breads, Chinese noodles and much more.

Lovely hotel. You wont get much better price performance in India. Most importantly the beds were soft and comfortable. Also we were given plenty of bottled water daily. The spa and pool were closed in Nov 2024, however, we were given a courtesy car to take us to the neighbouring Imperial hotel, where we enjoyed the pool and facilities.

One of the best hotels I believe. Warm service , quality product , tasty food , wide spread in buffets are some great points to highlight.
Special mentions to the gentleman who picked me up from the airport and the gentleman who dropped me to the airport ( sorry couldn’t get their names ) and excellent warm personalized caring from Ms Manpreet from Front office. Well done to all .

The good: grand building, modern facilities, luxury feel, well-maintained room, and a great breakfast buffet.
The not so good: I had high hopes for a Shangri-la but honestly found the customer service at this property very disappointing. First we were hassled about visa document and told we couldn’t stay until we had to explain how Indian tourist visa works to their own staff. Small things like asking to exchange some money after we had checked out was also met with a No before the staff made an exception. Nothing goes horribly wrong and it is a nice hotel, but there seems to be a default attitude of not going out of the way to help, a lack of warmth, or worse, a level of arrogance. We were made to not feel welcome here.
