Revoir
I travel weekly for work and exclusively stay at various Marriott brands. This is the worst Marriott branded hotel I've been to.
The good:
The hotel is in a decent location. We were in town for a conference. It's a good balance being between the convention center and the quarter. The lobby area, M Club, and restaurant are all nice with good service and well put together.
The bad:
Check-in was an absolute cluster. The personnel were miserable and we waited for a few hours after our check in time before getting a room. The rooms are a bit dated but not terrible besides the bathroom. The ceilings are extremely low in the bathroom and especially the shower. I'm 5'9" and could barely fit. Anyone over 6'0" would struggle to get in the shower.

Well Located. The hotel is near the streetcar and only a short walk to Bourbon St. Never had trouble getting a cab. We stayed here for a work trip, the conference space worked well. I had a great view of the river. The food in the lobby bar was surprisingly excellent. Visited 9/2023.

Stayed here for a conference at the convention center. They had shuttles going to the convention center every 30 minutes. The bar downstairs was nice for networking and had food service late into the night.
Rooms were clean, and the view of the river was nice. Would definitely come back next time in town.

Very mixed experience. If I could give it a 3.5* overall, I would. I’ll start with what was exceptional: 1. The M Club. This was probably the best M Club I’ve ever seen. The M Club staff was incredibly friendly, the amenities were superb, and the food was wonderful. 2. Cleanliness: the property was very clean, including rooms, common areas.
What was good: Overall, the service was good. I had an issue at check-in but the Assistant Front Office Manager resolved it and was incredibly friendly. Most of the staff greeted you as you passed and seemed warm.
What was mediocre: The gym, while clean and nice, seemed crammed and the ceiling was very low - to the extent I didn’t do anything overhead (standing) due to fear of hitting it. The physical property itself was mediocre. The halls are kind of drab and the rooms are dated. The lobby is more modern and upscale - and the meeting areas are nice. But overall property is eh.
What was bad: the elevators. They use an automated system where you put in a number and it directs you which specific elevator to take based on where elevators were and if there were anymore passengers. Very frustrating to continually wait.
Overall: a decent experience for a conference. Well located.

Nice hotel and great staff. It’s an excellent location and if you have the chance to go to 41 floor the views are amazing. Some the rooms are bit dated but clean and functional. I also thought the catering for our event was really good food. Nice job.
