Perfect!
We stayed for three nights and had a great experience from start to finish. Reading other reviews, I see a lot of people complaining about the elevators so let me share why I really liked the way they worked. Yes, you have to take an elevator from the entrance to the 70th floor where the lobby is located and then a different elevator back down to your room. This means that it's way harder for random people to access room floors and we really liked that. There are so many elevators that we barely ever had to wait for one, and only a short time. But if you don't like going up to a lobby that overlooks LA all the way out to Santa Monica and the ocean before you can access your room then you probably won't like this place. Everyone working at this hotel was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was great and very clean. The only area where I could see some room for improvement is the food menu in the lobby bar and maybe find a way to elevate the breakfast experience. In particular, the bread and pastries, fruit, and sausages weren't that compelling to me. But overall, very minor things because there were plenty of other things to eat in the buffet.

Perfect!
My stay at the Intercontinental Los Angeles was nothing short of spectacular. Located in the heart of LA, the hotel offered convenience and luxury in equal measure. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The room itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. But perhaps the highlight of my stay was the breathtaking view from my window. From the glittering lights of downtown to the iconic Hollywood sign in the distance, the panoramic vista showcased the beauty and vibrancy of LA. In addition to the stunning view, the hotel's amenities surpassed my expectations. The rooftop pool provided a relaxing oasis amidst the bustling city, while the on-site dining options offered a diverse array of delicious cuisine. Overall, my experience at the Intercontinental Los Angeles was unforgettable. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this hotel is the perfect choice for a memorable stay in the City of Angels.

Worst.
No stars. In fact NEGATIVE stars. If you are disabled and/ or require ADA rooms- DO NOT STAY HERE. There is no guarantee you will be given the room type you booked. Do not trust the staff here, they do not and will not adhere to policy and general guidelines. There is no possible way a room assignment should be after acknowledging and promising an accessible room with a roll in shower to someone who NEEDS it. Absolutely pathetic behavior. DO BETTER INTERCONTINENTAL. DO BETTER.

Good!
Beautiful Building. Marginal Service and Management. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and was sad to notice a significant decline in service…particularly food and beverage. My guest and I were seated at one of the many dirty and un cleared tables at Spire73. Manager was not responsive to requests for cleaning and clearing. Our server and the food were excellent, however. The lobby bar was also dirty and uncleared. The servers and bartenders are excellent but whoever manages food and beverage at this property needs to seriously up their game.

Great!
Recommend: Yes (once). It was a great experience and I’m glad I stayed here, but I probably won’t be back. The good: AMAZING VIEWS! All the staff I interacted with was great. They were friendly and seemed eager to serve. The room was clean, except for a couple items listed below that didn’t warrant calling housekeeping. Beds were very comfortable. Room was very quiet, even being by the elevator. The only sound was the occasional guests talking while waiting for an elevator. Internet speed was good enough in the room to work during the day. The 2 Queen Classic City View room was an average size. The bad: Room was showing some wear. The marble table and bathroom floor had water marks, making them look dingy. Upholstery on the chairs was stained. The towels were very thin and felt cheap. The carpet was filthy. I broke my rule of never going barefoot in a hotel and my feet got very dirty. I was not greeted as an IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite and never knew if they tried to upgrade my room, or if my room was an upgrade. Available amenities and what is included in the extra daily fee were not explained. Taking two elevators to get to my room was fine for the first couple days, but I was sick of it after a week.
