Good!
I will rate the hotel as clean so no issues there. The location was fairly close to public transit. But transit couldn’t get me to the airport when I needed to leave so I had to get a one night stay at a hotel by the airport. But that part isn’t so much the hotel fault. What irritated me most was they did have a refrigerator but it was fully stocked with overpriced stuff. So guess what I did and didn’t realize it? I bought my own stuff from the nearby store and put it in that fridge also. I got charged for the minibar 100% items almost and didn’t use them. Would have been a 1 star but they fixed the price issue, and I could have been fired over it because it was a business trip and I didn’t buy the stuff they originally put on the bill. They really should offer an empty fridge for even dinner bring home extras. Hotels that charge way less money do this. It was enough of a too much luxury I didn’t need and not enough practicality that I did need. And I spent 45 minutes of my life waiting for hotel staff to go check on what I never bought. Some people come there on business and don’t want to get taken for everything they have. I found out quick this isn’t my crowd. Can’t knock it for being clean though.

Good!
Recently stayed one night for a concert in Seattle and would not stay again. Pros: Good location, fairly easy to get to if driving or taking public transit, lots of restaurants/bars/coffee shops and stores nearby. Rooms were clean, although a bit dated. 1900 Fifth Bar+lounge has great food and drinks - the gentleman who was the server was AWESOME. He was working solo in a busy bar and was attentive, efficient and friendly. Cons: Expensive parking. Check-in was abysmal. 45 minute wait to checkin & our room wasn't ready. 1 hr later we received a text that it was ready and were expected to wait in another even longer 1 hour line to receive the room keys. Ridiculous. I asked the concierge if there was another option and he said to just use the very short Marriott Elite lineup to get our keys, which we did with zero issues. If you are waiting for your room key be warned that you cannot access the lobby washroom OR the elevator to the parking garage without it. Front desk needs more staff esp on a Saturday when cruise passengers are checking-in.

Great!
Great hotel with spacious rooms and beautiful views of the city. However it's a very large hotel with tons of guests and only a small check in area. I've been here may times and there is nearly always a long line to check in. Because they advertise themselves as a cruise hotel, there are large amounts of people checking in and out for single day stays during the summer months. This also means that in the mornings the lobby is crammed with checked out guests waiting to get to the boats and others coming to check in for one night. When they designed this hotel they really should have built a larger check in area and staffed it better considering the sheer number of rooms in this building.

Not bad
Convenient hotel to where I need to go. They did not clean the room, and I was told when I called reception it is done every 3 days, which was not disclosed upon check in. They also have a mini fridge in the room that you can’t use to store your own items without incurring massive charges if items move around. They can bring a mini fridge, though it took 45 mins. Both are examples of this hotel not caring about the guest experience.

Good!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Westin Seattle Downtown for business and were quite disappointed in the quality & service for the price we paid to stay there. First of all, when I arrived at 11:30pm at night after a long day's worth of travel, the only way to get in was through the entrance in the garage. I walked around the block with two pieces of luggage trying to find a door to enter in. As a female, it was a little scary at night. When I finally got inside to check in, I was told the hotel was booked even though we confirmed our reservation that morning! After about 15 minutes, I was given a room to stay in. (My husband came the next day). It was acceptable for our stay but was very outdated, paint peeling on the doors, and no housekeeping services showed up to service our room. We ran out of toilet paper, etc. Checked out the pool which I decided not to swim in because the water looked dirty and cloudy. Our room keys kept being deactivated and we had to go down 30+ floors to the lobby to get new ones every time. The location to the Pike Place Market and other venues was nice but I would not stay here again. Nor would I recommend it.
