Before I even checked into my room, my experience was great! My flight arrived in Chiang Mai at 8:30 in the morning, so I had to kill time before being able to get into my room. I went to building 1 and used the gym and the swimming pool! There is an awesome locker room up there with ample space, hairdryers, showers, and lockers to keep your stuff in. After my workout, I jumped in the swimming pool and then hit the locker room to shower off and clean up for lunch. It was great and so easy! The staff were accommodating and helpful. They have golf carts to drive you from one building to another, but the buildings are honestly not far apart, and you could easily walk. I booked a standard room and it was just enough space and comfort for my quick, one-night stay. There were 2 issues I had with the room itself - number one, there was not way to turn off the bathroom mirror light, so it was on all night. Tried everything. It is motion-censored, so it would turn off when I clicked the button, but then of course I had to move and it would turn back on. Secondly, the hotel is next to a huge pub, and there was music all night long. It wasn’t super loud, but it was definitely noticeable while trying to fall asleep. I would stay here again, but I would aim for building 1 instead of 7.

Location is close with Airport so you will always hear the plane sound. Overall, my stay was pleasant. However, I noticed that the sound insulation in the rooms, I could often hear noises from neighboring rooms, which affected the tranquility of my stay. Additionally, there were instances of loud running and talking by tourist groups. Enhancing soundproofing would greatly enhance guest experience.

The rooms are clean and spacious, minimalist design. Bathrooms are very well equipped. The bed is very comfortable & staff are attentive and very pleasant to interact with. The hotel is suitable for groups, families, couples and singles too. The hotel is directly under the flight path of busy CM airport, consequently aircraft fly in. I am a heavy sleeper, so the aircraft landings did not personally affect my sleep experience.

Good location and nice transport service to the city centre. I have to give a low rating for the service due to our experience with the cleaning staff. One of our paper shopping bags which I had placed on the floor disappeared. I am assuming the cleaning staff thought it was trash and mistakenly threw it away. The bag however contained multiple newly purchased cosmetic items. We tried to get back the bag but the cleaning staff was unable to trace it back. Luckily the total value of the bag was not large (~ 15 euros) but this nevertheless should not have happened, especially in a 4 star hotel. Staff should know better than to throw away paper bags DURING the stay (we did not check-out yet) without even checking the contents to be sure. An additional complaint is that one time, our beds were not even made up but they just folded the blankets at the foot of the bed, almost as if the staff forgot or just decided they did not want to finish cleaning up our room in the middle of the process anymore. Last point - usually you would expect the reception to ask during check out if everything was OK during your stay. They did not, and we were in a rush to get to the airport so were not even able to flag this.

First time staying at their travel lodge and it was excellent. Love the big lobby and spacious superior room. Buffet breakfast was also a nice surprise with so many items to choose from. Hotel staff service was also very good. Will come back to stay again next time I’m here !
