Revoir
My wife and I reserved and paid for a king size bed with an oceanfront view three months in advance. When we arrived, they offered us two queen beds. I explained to them That we paid for a king size bed with an oceanfront view. She said they had nothing available even though we reserved it months Earlier. They did give us $150 credit for our problem and said that they could have our room ready by Thursday, we arrived on Tuesday. Upon receiving the new room on Thursday, we did get a king size bed, but not an ocean view. They gave us a partial ocean view that faced other buildings and the mountain. I could see the ocean to my side.
Problem number two, my wife and I were getting ready to go to a luau and had no running water to take a shower. I called the front desk and explained to them there was no running water and they said they would send a maintenance person up. We waited for the water to return or the maintenance man to show up and nobody showed up, so we had to get dress and go out for the evening without taking a shower. We were on the beach all day It was very aggravating to get dressed and go out dirty. Would not recommend staying here.

A great hotel in a fantastic location. The staff was polite and helpful, and while our amenities were a bit dated (we read they had Japanese toilets, but we only got standard American ones), it was still acceptable. Our room was not directly facing the sea, but the view was beautiful nonetheless.
One downside is that they claim some beach items can be rented for free at the nearby Beach Candy Waikiki, but both times we were there, most of the items (chairs, umbrellas, bodyboards, etc.) were gone by 11am, and the rest was paid (which is a shame considering this is part of the $50 per night resort amenity fee). They seem to have an extremely limited supply, so I wouldn't count on it.

Amazing location with stunning views of the ocean and a beautiful infinity pool and awesome amenities! Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, but the rooms did not look as immaculate as the lobby or other common areas. However, the rooms were clean and very comfortable with great views! Staff was somewhat friendly, but could have been more upbeat and personable. This property is very expensive, so I expected 5-star treatment from them. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 night stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. ??

I recently stayed at a hotel that unfortunately did not meet my expectations, particularly when compared to my experiences in Maui. The most noticeable issue was the noise level; it seemed like there was constant disturbance that made it hard to relax. Additionally, the pool was disappointingly small, which was a letdown for someone looking to enjoy some leisurely swim time. The cocktails served were quite basic, lacking the creativity and flair I've enjoyed elsewhere.
The hotel itself felt outdated, which contributed to an overall lack of ambiance I've come to appreciate in my travels. To make matters worse, the breakfast not only came with a steep price tag but also failed to deliver in terms of quality and taste

The rooms were nice enough, nothing spectacular, but clean and comfortable. I loved the bedding, super comfy. No kitchenette, just a fridge and some sort of espresso maker, and everything worked well. There was an unsightly stain on the bed frame cover that really should have been removed or addressed. We did inform staff.
The balcony views were excellent and the location was the best. The resort offers free rentals so that was definitely a plus. Overall, THIS is the place to stay in Waikiki. If (or when) I return, this will be my stay of choice.
