Not bad
I am writing this review to raise awareness for other first time visitors to Honolulu who like myself, had high expectations staying at such a well branded property, but was very disappointed. First, I will start with the hotel room and price point. I booked an oceanfront room with two double beds. The view was incredible and the beds were very comfortable, but the rooms themselves were very underwhelming especially for the $400 per night price point, which didn’t include taxes or the resort fees. The pool was the next disappointment. The pool opened at 8am each morning and guests are forced to wait in line to be able to get the “complimentary” pool chairs and umbrellas. The line started forming each morning at 7:30am and if you weren’t one of the first few people in line, you weren’t able to get chairs with an umbrella, as there were only 6 umbrellas available. The only other option for guests needing shade is to either purchase cabanas or cushioned chairs with canopies in the pool or poolside. Traveling with both an elderly family member and a pregnant family member, umbrellas were a daily necessity for us. This was a daily stressor, which no one should need to experience when on vacation. The pool food and beverage service was highly disappointing, as well. The pool service didn’t start until 11am each day and there were very few servers, so the wait time was ridiculous. Most people at the hotel are on vacation or holiday, 11am as a start time for service, which is 3 hours after the pool opens, is a long time for people to wait for food and drinks, especially if they weren’t able to make breakfast, which is my next topic. There is only one sit down restaurant that serves breakfast, which is very small and time limited for such a big property, especially during busy season. Breakfast is only served daily from 8:30am until 10:30am and everyday you had to wait on a long line to be seated. One morning, I ordered take out breakfast from the bar to eat at the pool. My order took 30 minutes to prepare and when I received it, it was wrong. The server told me they couldn’t fix/remake the order because it was 10:30am and breakfast was over. I had to wait an hour until lunch service started at 11:30am. My suggestion would be to revise the hours for breakfast to 8-11am and have lunch start at 11:30am. There is no way to accommodate all of the guests during such a high occupancy time and to have such limited hours during busy season, makes no sense. I hope that the hotel management will take my review and suggestions to heart and make some positive changes moving forward.

Good!
I absolutely hated pulling into this hotel. Figuring out self parking was annoying. However, the valet staff were amazing, nice and zero pressure people. They are on top of it. Customer care were also great and genuinely friendly. The housekeepers were friendly. The rooms were great. I was disappointed that there was no microwave. The hotel has pool tables, Foosball tables, 2 swimming pools (one regular with a slide and the other an infinity pool for ages 16 and up) and hottubs. What I didn't like: Location. It sits in a weird part of town. Very consumer driven. If that's your thing. Cool. But I find it to be disgusting. The elevators. One button to call 8 elevators and there is no order. Its a free for all. It's obnoxious. The Laundry machines are $5 per small load and $5 per small load to dry. It took my clothes x2 to dry. I brought Laundry detergent. Towels are hard to come by near the pool. The station closes early so you have to get towels at the front desk. Other than that the stay was good.

Perfect!
Beautiful hotel! Great staff. Nice big huge room - I got a king with partial ocean view in the lanai. The Edge pool is wonderful. Luxury shops are literally downstairs and all around. Food and dining everywhere. Access to pools and beach + all attractions at the concierge. RFID bracelet to enter room. It’s a busy hotel with lots of people coming and going.

Perfect!
I travelled thousands of miles to Hawaii just to stay in this hotel so I could take this specific photo of Waikiki Beach at night. You can't get this photo from anywhere else. The front counter staff were so helpful and guided me to the perfect room so I could get the photo I came for. And the next morning we lounged in the stunning infiniti edge pool overlooking blue tropical ocean. This hotel is heaven on earth. It was so worth the money to have this experience.

Good!
It was OK I wanted to give them five stars but no the place was nice it’s just every room. It was just like a little problem in all the rooms are nice. It was just the rooms were nice but the coffee machine was dirty or the teapot didn’t work whatever day didn’t work, there was no heat, so if you’re older, you might want to bring a heater very expensive prices. The food was mediocre. So make sure you Google places to eat that are not expensive. Other than that it’s a decent hotel, but the staff seem like stalkers and watching everybody but then again, a lot of the staff are really nice but other than that it was OK just make sure you check everything when you come in the room to make sure everything is working
