My family had a great experience at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki. The resort and rooms are very clean, the grounds are well-maintained, and the restaurants' service is spectacular. The lagoon is great for smaller kids. The pool is relaxing with plenty of seating. The beach is quiet and peaceful. My only complaint was that when we were checking in, our room was not available and we had to wait several hours with small children in the lobby. We were able to keep busy because there are restaurants and shops within walking distance, however after about 4 hours of waiting, we were all ready to be in our room and relax. The concierge did provide a complimentary meal for the inconvenience, which was very nice. Overall, a great family vacation experience.

Not a bad choice for families who are not looking for a 5 star relaxing experience. It’s a very busy group of properties. Older accommodations-Except for The Hilton Grand experiences. Dining in and around the resort is just ok. We found good food away from the resort, would not recommend any of the food in or very near the resort.
Very busy, food is not great or even good. Very expensive- As well if you enjoy your morning coffee- prepare to go the mile for it. Lines for coffee ( even at 6:00AM) are extremely long. The coffee shop at the resort has terrible coffee- also paid $24.00 for two 12 oz coffees. There are 2 Starbucks among the properties- good luck with the long lines. There’s good coffee about a mile away from the resort, but also very long lines. Beaches at the resort are clean and beautiful but crowded( we were there early March). The pools have many kids and families and are mostly shaded.
I wouldn’t stay here again even though the rooms are very clean, and staff very nice, it just isn’t worth feeling like part of a large herd everywhere on and near this resort. Absolutely nothing standout or special about this place.

They only show you one of the buildings they own so when you book you think you are getting that one. Well that one is actually an additional 40$ per night. Check in takes forever because they don’t tell you which tower/building you’ll be staying in
It’s pretty cheap that they can’t even provide you a microwave but I guess that’s because they want to make sure you need to leave and find food on the resort.
The resort itself is pretty nice. The pools close unbelievably early and they aren’t heated which is strange for how much we paid.
Our room was small it did have an ocean view that I paid extra for but we had an awesome view of the only photo they have of a building. The fireworks were somewhat in view from our balcony but also blocked by the tower that have in the pictures. The a/c worked amazing, the bed was busted and had a few broken springs. The mini fridge was a joke.
Be mindful of the towel stands they will charge you an extra 20$ for a bottle of sunscreen. You can get it for 1/3 of the price at any ABC store.
If you want to rent a chair on the beach it’s 25$ per chair and 30$ per umbrella.
If you want a chair at the resort by the pool I’d recommend getting there early and throwing your towel on it. Because I noticed a few people would throw a towel down around 8am and then finally sit by the pool around 3pm. The bar by the pool gives hardly any alcohol in the drinks.
Overall it was a decent stay it’s a good area if you don’t mind walking we walked to the aquarium which was around 40 minutes and walked to the mall which is around 25 minutes. Would definitely recommend swimming at the beaches closer to the aquarium, the water is warmer and has an ocean break so it’s perfect for kids. However if I had to go again I’d probably try a different place to stay.

After reading the reviews I was really nervous about our stay here. It was a great experience. We did the digital check in and was able to skip the front desk. Our room was ready prior to our arrival We never had to wait more than a few minutes for the elevators or any service. The elevator system is a very unique experience. We were able to find chairs at the pool after a short wait. Every one was very nice. The room was much larger than expected. We walked to a lot of the shops. Bus stops are easy to get to from the hotel.
