Perfect!
Fabulous hotel next to a spectacular beach, with great views of the sea. The view from the hotel room was unbeatable. The location is excellent, just 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Songjeong beach. Blue Line Park (beach train ) is close by. There is a nice elevated walking path parallel to the train tracks, that takes one to Daritdol skywalk (must see & free) and other spectacular views of the sea. We woke up everyday to the beautiful views of the sea. Easily one of our best stays ever. We will never ever forget this hotel and will come back someday for sure.

Good!
Check-in let us down. They don't take visa cards or at least their bank doesn't have a mechanism to allow payments from South Africa. The room we got was very spacious and the service was prompt. Although on checkout if you request for fresh towels you have to pay 2000 won for it. The best part of the hotel is the view. It has the most amazing view of the beach. This made all other issues bearable.

Worst.
The following is tragically all avoidable with minimal effort but there was none during our short stay. We checked, saw our room and it was filthy. Counter tops were sticky, floors were dusty. The bathroom door into the toilet/shower didn’t close properly. The fridge looked like it hasn’t ever been cleaner. We both had mosquito bites and noticed they leave the window open to air out? Ok, we can’t stay in here. Reluctantly, we go down and request for a new room. Something i have never ever done in all my years of travel. When ask why, we listed everything above, to which he replied “is that it?, did you use the room?”, — “no, we just unpacked”. — “bring your luggage down and i’ll give you a new room”. The tone and demeanour was just awful, we were obviously a burden. we get our new room and everything is slightly better, ok- we can live with this. other issues we had with the room design; there are zero hooks, none! not a single one, you will have a massive counter top to put your things but towels have no place to go. The ac is in the ceiling pointed directly on the bed controlled through a tv remote that corporates half the time. this is where it goes from bad to worse. my partner had the misfortune of getting food poisoning at SpaLand the next day and me a terrible head cold. otherwise it was a pleasant experience there. We were bed ridden for 3 days following. Never once asked for any basic services including cleanup. after the check in experience we endured, i didn’t want to be a bother to them. since my partner couldn’t eat, i couldn’t go far, i went to get some instant noodles from the store around the corner and had forgotten to get chop sticks. so instead of going back to the store i asked the gentleman at the counter for one. this was a different person now, younger, better looking. i have never seen anyone here smile (i have concluded 3 people work here in total), i think chopsticks is a basic have for hotels in Asia, he simply said “no, don’t have”. Dont have? i was puzzled but ok. i won’t eat tonight then. they offer breakfast on the second floor 7-10 am. I got up at 8 and went down, a pile of disposables right as you enter to the left. Shrugged it off but obviously this made me even more weary of asking for anything for the remainder of our stay. the final nail in the coffin that lead to this review — 6 am on day of check out, we ran out of toilet paper and used up the kleenex, i was half asleep, finally managing to get some rest on the most uncomfortable bed, it’s rock hard with zero give, back breaking when you are sick. i called down and asked nicely “when you have a moment, may we get a roll of toilet paper please?”, ——“ you come down to get” and promptly (maybe even aggressively), hung up. even with all that went down, i was still in shock. Ok / i’ve finally had it. I have only seen maybe 2 other hotel guests the entire time we were here, is he that busy? am i the one in the wrong? i put on my shorts and went down. Behold, same gentleman that checked us in! wouldn’t even look me in the eye, searched a bunch of cabinets and gave me 1/4 roll of used toilet paper. i reluctantly took it and this is where i loss my cool, i told him “this is the worst hotel experience i have ever had in my life, if you are busy, then you can nicely ask me to come down or bring it up when you are free, you also do not look very busy imo.” and left. 5 mins later he came up with 2 new rolls after ringing the bell and knocking on the door. Forcing me to take it and said “sorry, it was a bad time”. this “gesture” only aggravated the situation. smh. i will say, the lady (3rd staff member) was a star compared to those other 2. she at least asked if we need our room cleaned the one time i asked her help with locating a pharmacy and called them for me to see if they were open.

Great!
Nice sea view rooms with nice tubs to soak up the goodness. The only disappointing thing is the breakfast. Don't expect international buffet, not even small scale one. It's just bread, ham, cheese slices all those you find in the supermarket to make your own toast (and yes, toaster is there for you to toast your own bread). Cereal etc.. the only hot dish there will be instant noodles and the fully cooked sunny side up.

Perfect!
Beautiful view from the room, have restaurants and cafes nearby! The beach is a few minutes away and it's so clean and beautiful! There are food trucks available near the beach for snacks and coffee. It was so refreshing to be here!
