Perfect!
Stayed here in June. It's a refitted motel at a slightly higher price. Worth it overall for the nicer feel. The breakfast was limited, though I am generally picky with breakfast and found it tricky everywhere in Korea. The service was fantastic...they let me leave my bags on the afternoon I checked out and my bicycle tour of the under-rated Bay area was one of the highlights of my holiday.

Great!
Divine Hotel has been the best hotel we have stayed in S.Korea. There is only one flaw, the mattress is very firm and has led to a lot of tossing and turning. The rooms come well equipped (no iron though) with standard bath towels, a few of the smaller hand towels, two bathrobes/gowns, two waters in the mini fridge every time the room is made, smart tv with Netflix, air inverter, soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and a set of daily care tools with a moisturizing package. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. Pro tip: there is a control panel on the wall for the Aircon, it doesn't do anything, leave it alone. The controls are actually on the remote control in the room, on the bottom. Pro tip 2: to open the window, you have to press the button on the bottom half of the handle for the screen. The screen then rolls up automatically and you can open/close the window. Breakfast is nothing special but the baked goods are quite good. There is also fruits available, cup noodles, and two Nespresso virtuo machines if you like that sort of coffee. It's in a relatively good location. Not in the busiest of areas but in a very walkable distance to the busy spots. Final pro tip: The Suncheon brewery/crane burgers has been the highlight of Suncheon for me. They are a team of coffee roasters and craft brewers. The coffee is amazing, the beers are amazing, and the food (a variety of burgers and fries) are outstanding. It's located on the same street. Great vibes.

Great!
Room was clean and quiet, bed was soft with firm but plush pillows, shower pressure is great. In the lobby there's a drink vending machine that's free for guests (or perhaps only on special occasions, we visited during Chuseok). The staff are friendly, but I don't think they can use English (my Korean hubby handled check-in). There's a "handler" in the room, which looks like a small closet but I guess is a kind of standing laundering machine? The instructions are all in Korean, but hubs popped some stuff in there and it came out feeling a bit more fresh. Parking might be an issue depending on when you arrive, but there's additional parking on the street and perhaps in a nearby church lot. We opted for the upgraded river view room, but I'd say save your money if you're considering it. The windows are so reflective inside that at night you can't really enjoy the view, and it's a bit dizzying to stare into the reflective glass, like a trick mirror at a funfair. In the day it's much better, but I dunno if you'd want to spend an extra $20 for it. Included in the room are a mini fridge (with bottled water), a desktop PC, hair dryer, all basic toiletries and then some (Condoms? Nice. We can make water balloons), large TV, kettle with teabag coffee (skip it) and green tea (nice), and of course the handler. Breakfast is available for an additional fee, but seems to be pretty standard prepackaged cake slices, hamburger, cup soup...things like that. If you're looking for night dining/drinking, there's a very nice looking brewery next door. The river park is a short walk away and lovely at day or night, also safe and well-lit after dark. You can rent bicycles as well. I'd stay here again and just skip the room upgrade. It's clean, comfy, and safe.
