Lotte Resort Sokcho has the best scenery and the surrounding area is beautifully maintained. This is my first time to see such a clean, scenic, and well-equipped place. The hotel room was completely luxurious, and I was very impressed that even the terrace was clean without a speck of dust. The staff was friendly, all systems were convenient, and the sea air was especially clean and fresh. It was so nice that I wanted to live there.

Was disappointed how hard it was there to check in. The lobby looks like a crowded subway. The view is great, but I am not recommending it to anyone as the hotel is actually very far from the beach. TV inside is very small. Some smaller motels are closer to the beach with the same views. But honestly... just go to busan!!! For picky tourists as us whole Sokcho was a disappointment.

The front desk staff’s English is a bit above average so communication was not to troublesome. The sea view room we stayed at is quite spacious. There’s a convenience store, a café, a couple of restaurants, and best of all, a self-service laundry room! The laundry room does not take our non-Korean credit cards though and cash doesn’t work. However, the front desk staff was very helpful to charge that to our room. Overall, a good stay.

Water park is scam, you will be charged $50 extra, after that you will be asked to buy a mandatory swimming cap, and they will charge you for TOWELS! Really?? Not friendly staff with very poor English. Cheap paper cups for drinking tea? Food overpriced and average. Breakfast about $30 extra after paying $400 per night!! Rooms and building are great, sofa is uncomfortable and small. Shower plumbing will give you headaches. The only good thing is the view. Not worth the price, not coming back.
