Opened since 1928
Smoked meat sandwich is awesome! Smoked Meat is juicy and tender, not greasy at all. (Meat is pretty lean, great protein source!)
Ordering a large size smoked meat = ordering 4-5 sandwiches, since it comes with bread (but u have to put on ketchup and mustard by yourself).
The pickle is very refreshing, not as salty as you imagine, but seasoned as something you see in a garden salad.
They don’t have air conditioning upon our arrival, it feels a little humid and hot in the noon. Hard to find parking since it’s along the street.
Over all an awesome place for brunch or lunch.

We came with a bus of 30 people and they got us in and served in a reasonable time. There's usually long lines and waits so we were very lucky. The servers were friendly, taking photos of guests for them, recommending food items and cracking jokes. The food tasted delicious. I loved the poutine and smoked meat sandwich. A must!

For my first time in Montreal I had to check out this spot, and I can say the hype is valid. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich at an affordable price. This spot packs in a ton of value and flavor into such a classic sandwich. The sides like fries and pickles take the same amount of care to be awesome as well.
Shout out to Tino for the amazing service and great vibes.

It was our first time eating at this Schwartz’s Deli while visiting Montreal. We ordered their famous Smoked Meat Sandwiches, Schwartz’s Poutine and a Coleslaw. Everything tasted ohhh so yummylicious!! The smoked meat just melted in the mouth. It was worth queuing for about half an hour in the cold lol. We enjoyed having the Smoked Meat Sandwiches and will definitely come back for more.

This was a really fun stop. The place hearkens to a different time and feel. A true Montreal deli with atmosphere in abundance. The food was good, but be prepared to pay for experience as much as your meal. A sandwich, pickle, and can of coke was just over $35 for one person. It was worth the price of admission, but I am not sure there is enough here to keep me coming back.
