Our friends stayed here on our recent trip to NYC and we visited them frequently. The lobby is inviting with security staff and they have a shop with a coffee bar. There's a lot of comfortable seating in the lobby too. Our friends room was spacious for NYC and looked clean and comfortable. They had a nice view of the Chrysler building which was an added bonus. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel on our next visit.

Hyatt surprises me every time with how accommodating and forthright they are. We had a very early flight and asked to check in early or have them hold our luggage until our room was ready. Of course, this may sometimes be impossible if the rooms are all booked, but they gave us our room keys and we checked in at 9:00am. The location is sandwiched between the Chrysler building and Grand Central Station, so it is a very easy location to get to via metro. The room was clean, and comfortable. No complaints, no issues, no stress. I would happily recommend this and any other Hyatt hotel. (I’ve stayed at many Hyatt locations)

--Update-- We brought up the issue of the weed smell again to the front desk and they switched our room. The new room has a working heater and no smell. All in all, I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. --Update-- Excellent location but unfortunately, our room smelled like weed. We stayed for 4 nights and on the third night, our bathroom smelled like weed (and the smell was eventually getting to our entire room). We called and they said they'll send someone up to check but they never did. We have a 3 year old and def hated sleeping in this smell. I expected this smell on the streets or in a cheap hotel but not in a supposedly 4 star hotel. Also, Beware of the $43/night destination fee. It includes a $15 credit for the market but everything in the market is overpriced and not worth the price. The room is fairly spacious for Manhattan and it's clean. However, there is no proper work desk in the room. The chairs in the lobby are uncomfortable to work from and if you want to use the office area, its an additional $35/person/day. So, not very ideal if you're planning to work remotely from here. The heater in the room was also not working properly. We set the heater to 77F and the room was still slightly cold (manageable but cold).

Very nice location, at the grand central station. You can just walk anywhere, near 5th Avenue, and walking distance to times square. They gave $15 credit for the market ( for breakfast) but all you can get in the morning is bagel or croissant or muffin ( 1 bagel, 1 croissant, 1 espresso is $15) The room quite big, comfortable bed and pillows, very clean too. We do smell some weed somewhere near the aisle of our room ( they are not allowed), fortunately our room is the last room at the corner, so it's free from all the smell. We're pretty happy with all the service, and they allowed us to check in pretty early ( our flight was in the early morning), we're checked in around 9 or 10am. Thank you Hyatt, hope to come back and stay there near future.

Perfect location near grand central terminal. Breakfast is top notch. $45/person for a buffet style breakfast. I still think about the French toast. Best I’ve ever had. Beautiful hotel, service was good until our last night there when we were treated poorly/discriminated against by one of the employees there. Still waiting for corporate to contact me back regarding the issue.
