Perfect!
Eating at this restaurant is an experience, from its ambience to its food and service, everything is superlative. Don’t miss this when you visit Varanasi. Food is reseanably priced. You are served by very cooperative and smiling staff. The manager is polite and gentlemanly taking care of each and every guests. We had ordered the Baati chokha combo and Khichdi Chokha combo. Food came piping hot full of taste and flavors.

Good!
Have visited many authentic cuisine serving places and this promised to be no different given the popularity that the place fetches. A good attempt is all that I can say about the place though. It has huge potential to grow big but despite the availability of land and resources, it does not optimise it's abilities. To start with the way it looks from the outside realy needs to be worked upon. Secondly you have to climb stairs to reach the restaurant which is at first floor. Even the steps are quite high. Absolute no-no for elderly and specially abled or recovering patients. As you climb up you are told to remove your shoes. While many places would do that but when you enter the restaurant you are surrounded by aroma (smell) of stinking feet / socks! While one would say people are to be blamed for it, but the place does not have adequate ventilation or even incense to keep the place breathable. After a while your nostrils get used to it. There are 4 categories of thali available. Choose any. Food is definately good, but variety can be added. Cost is very reasonable. You pay just under 400 rupees for a wholesome meal. Can't ask for more. Overall not a bad place at all. It maintains old time charm and looks brighter at night. Ood place to indulge in good old baati chokha with ghee. Special mention about the sweet tooths. Deserts are really good. Do not forget to try their kheer and moong daal halwa. Enjoy your stay. Cheers.

Great!
Service and Atmosphere is too good to be honest. Talking about the main attraction Baati which I think is over hyped and thus doesn’t live up to my expectations. Still overall worth a try!

Great!
They have a very unique setting requiring one to sit cross legged for authentic meal with dishes from Bihar, reasonably priced. Wonderful experience, and a must try at least once.

Perfect!
I went here for an early lunch on recommendation of a friend and loved it. The experience is very good. Traditional style dining. At the entrance they have traditional ghee churning, grinding of masala and aata etc going on. I took the bati choka thali for 375. They gave 2 chutneys and some pakodas. I loved the chutney. Pakoda was decent. Then there is bati (2 varities - sattu and paneer filled) and choka which were both very tasty. Simple Dal to go with it. Followed with Kheer and Buttermilk. Overall good was very nice. Staff need some training though. They just rush through serving food and don't bother to stop to answer questions. I tried this for first-time and wanted tips on best way to eat, what each item was etc...they didn't both to explain. They just quickly serve and run away. Tip - on entry there are two sections of the restaurant. Try the thali system...second one which is after the parking lot. Another interesting thing is there is a handloom and weaving center. Banarasi silk saries were being weaved and I heard that the place sells good quality stuff there.
