The privately situated setting is beautiful, in modernized hanbok with a stream running behind the rooms/two-story houses. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu but authentic, traditional, top-notch food. The coffee shop had a surprising array of European desserts and a substantial display of souvenirs of local and Korean arts and crafts. This is a huge bonus. It is not within walking distance of town but a short taxi ride to all the attractions. I will for sure go back to stay when I return to Korea.

My parents and I loved staying at this hotel. It’s designed with a traditional Korean housing theme, which brought back a sense of nostalgia for us. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and it offered plenty of enjoyable activities, such as traditional Korean games and a moonlight photo spot.

Great location for a mindful getaway. This place provides the best of traditional Korean lifestyle paired with a flawless and modern experience. If what you’re looking for is to party, this might not be the best place for you, but if looking for a little peace of mind and a relaxing environment, don’t think too hard, this place is great for exactly that. Rooms are not craaazy, but that’s the vibe here, a humble and flawless experience.

And for those who prefer a touch more control, strategically placed speakers in the inner courtyard recreate the calming river sounds, allowing you to enjoy them from anywhere in the hotel. The Jeonju Hanok Village is just a stone's throw away, making it easy to explore the area's rich history and culture. The surrounding mountains offer stunning scenery and endless opportunities for exploration. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventurous escape, Wangyijiml Hanok Hotel is the perfect base.

It is a very different experience to stay in a hanok. Just got to know that it was built only 7 years ago. We got free upgrade to premium suite. It feels cozy. The floor is warm. However, the bathroom and toilet can be quite cold.
