We stayed at another hanok but came here for an afternoon coffee. The cafe is very cozy, quiet, clean and minimalist. Their coffee selection is simple, the usual but they all tasted great. I enjoyed my hazelnut latte, their americano was strong and their yuzu tea has lots of fruits in it, very healthy and refreshing. The view from the cafe was also very beautiful. We can see the entire village and the traditional rooves.

Little cute travelodge with no service to be found. Nobody around to ask for help, the worst uncomfortable futon ever, two little towels per person, almost not existent breakfast, no hot water facility. I will never come back again

Raon Hanok Khuljam is an excellent place to stay when visiting Jeonju Hanok Village. The host, Luan, shows a deep pride for his home and obviously cares about the comfort of his guests. In the morning, between 9 to 10AM, he served us a simple breakfast consisting of fresh sliced fruit, toast, raspberry jam, an excellent americano and green tea in the cafe on top of the inn overlooking the village. This is a traditional Korean (Hanok) house. The rooms are small, they fit four people (but it may be tight). We were given four hand towels to use. They were absorbent and plush, it worked well for us, but if you’re accustomed to using a large bath towel you’ll need to bring your own. You sleep on a very thin futon mat as is keeping with the tradition of a Hanok. I had a hard time sleeping on this mat as I’m in my sixties and have a bad back. Luan was generous in giving me an additional mat, but even then it was hard for me. If you’re younger and accustomed to sleeping in a tent, you’ll be fine with this. The floor, in the colder months is heated with a traditional Ondol heating system, which is pleasant. You should know, however, that being a Korean home your shoes remain outside safe from the elements under the wooden porch. And if it’s raining or snowing outside you’ll be put your shoes on in those conditions. There’s a kitchen in the back with a kettle and microwave, and cold and hot water dispenser. I made the mistake of wearing my shoes in this kitchen as I thought the no shoes custom applied only to the sleeping rooms, and was quickly told by the host who was cleaning an adjacent room, “Shoes off!” So, please note do not wear your shoes anywhere there is a raised platform and save yourself from an embarrassing situation. If you’re not sure, just ask, don’t assume like I did. Overall, I highly recommend staying here to learn more about Korean traditions and culture (and for the excellent simple breakfast).

It was clean, cozy, and in a great location. No parking, no (un)loading zone, and too small for a family of four. I wish they didn't accept more than three people per room.
