Fun Vibes, loud music, and moody bartenders Great drinks and even better ambiance—each floor has its own vibe, which I loved. Karaoke on the bottom, music and tv up top. The vintage decor gives the place a lot of character and make it stand out. Drink prices were super reasonable, and every drink we ordered was genuinely good. The bartenders were fast, which I appreciated—but man, were they rudeee. I get that they’re busy, but you’d think I asked for their most complex drink order with the way they were reacting. I ordered a simple rum and coke and got hit with eye-rolls and irritation every time. Not the best energy behind the bar. Also, the music was too loud for me. I’m a firm believer that unless it’s a full-on club where the main thing to do is dance, the music shouldn’t be reverberating through your chest while you’re trying to talk to your group. Definitely not the spot for a conversation, unless you’re ready to scream all night. Still, can’t deny—it’s a vibe.

We stopped in the night before the Super Bowl so the place was jam packed. Despite all the people we had a really good time. The service was impressive considering the crowd. The beer we had was good. The vibe is very cool and definitely Philly! We will definitely return when we can actually sit down and try the food.

Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service at our first visit to this Philly landmark. Our extended family sampled a few McGillin menu favorites for lunch: Philly cheesesteak, chicken tenders, hot turkey with mashed potatoes and a Reuben. Everything was delicious and brought quickly. Even though the bar was packed on a March Saturday, our table service was excellent. Although they don't take reservations we got a table pretty quickly. If you have time, check out the centuries of memorabilia hanging on every square inch of this historic building. Great spot to watch Philly sports year-round.

Found this place walking around checking out Center City, Beautiful building and had to go inside to check it out. Turns out it's been around for a while. 165 years to be precise. Well I asked to be seated and ordered a burger and some potato skins, and I have to say that the food was absolutely and completely fantastic, as was our server who was tending both the bar and the tables. Great atmosphere tons of history very accommodating everything was perfect. Even had a little fireplace going to add to the atmosphere. I definitely look forward to coming back here to have some more fantastic and tasty awesome food, great service and atmosphere.

This place was so cool. So much rich history lining every ince if the walls and the decadent old building and attributes. The drinks were OK but the atmosphere and experience are totally worth checking it out!
