Food was okay, it's a very British menu. Our server Dean was incredible, personable, funny, and made you want to come back. The atmosphere was really cool. Lots of seating, you don't need a reservation... the food tasted okay and the price was okay too.

During a recent visit to Philadelphia, I discovered The Dandelion while searching for a proper British afternoon tea. I was delighted to find they offered both tea and dinner service, so I booked afternoon tea for my first day and returned for dinner on the last night of my trip.
Unfortunately, the afternoon tea missed the mark. The tiered tray leaned heavily toward sweets—two full tiers of desserts felt excessive, even for someone with a sweet tooth. The tea sandwiches had dry, firm bread, likely from being prepped too far in advance, and the cookies and pastries lacked freshness. As someone who travels to London regularly and enjoys traditional teas, this experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.
That said, I’m very glad I kept my dinner reservation. I visited on a Sunday and ordered the Sunday roast—it did not disappoint. The roast was flavorful, the Yorkshire pudding was perfect, and the whole meal truly reminded me of something I’d enjoy in London. The dinner was a standout and a great way to end my trip.
While I’d skip the tea service next time, I would absolutely return for dinner.

Cultured ambiance with a cool vibe, amazing food, and excellent service.
The entry off the road is like a portal to a different time. As you enter the bar area, it feels as though you have been transported to another reality.
The food is delicious and the quality was amazing. Service was on point and the clientele was diverse.
I had the fish and chips which was outstanding. Perfectly white and fluffy Cod with the tastiest batter that I have had. My wife had the Tandoori chicken which was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, and the flavors were amazing.
We finished the meal with the chocolate set pudding which was delicious. It was Earl grey ice cream and slices of orange place on an indulgent portion of chocolate mousse.

We ate hear for brunch for Mother's Day and it was a fantastic experience.
The building and atmosphere is great, giving off a true old English pub vibe, with wooden walls and paintings and other decorations.
The food was great, I had the Shepherd's Pie, which I'm always happy to see when it's made properly with lamb. It had a subtle not-too-rich flavor with a cheese topping. My mother had the eggs benedict, which was also good, not too heavy, and came with a good side salad. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was amazing, with an interesting sour cream ice cream that, despite sounding odd, went perfectly with the pudding. Also our tea came in decorative cups, which was fun.
The service was also amazing. Our waitress seemed to be able to read our mind and would walk over with what we needed right as we were about to ask for it. She also was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. When our dessert was slightly late (which really wasn't a huge deal, it wasn't that late, and we were drinking our tea) she noticed, checked on it, and even comped the dessert, which wasn't necessary but greatly appreciated.
Overall it's a really nice and quaint place, and I'd love to go back there to try the Sunday roast special, which we were slightly too early for.

The food was spectacular, but words cannot describe how delicious the Sunday Roast was. I’ve been traveling throughout the U.S. for the past couple years and this has been the best tasting roast I’ve ever eaten. The service can be a bit slow at times, while not a problem for me as I’m in no rush, and prefer to take my time and enjoy the atmosphere.
