Nice view, poor service. I left valuable items in the room and despite calling multiple times (even just hours after I checked out), was never able to get in contact with anyone who actually deals with lost items. The front desk would reroute my call to security, who never answers the phone. Really disappointed in this level of service from the Sonesta at Rittenhouse square.

Overall we had a really nice stay, we did a birthday getaway night in the city. I saw a lot of reviews beforehand saying the rooms were outdated or not in the best condition, but I didn't really have that same experience. My room was just fine. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice, clean. The hotel staff were very friendly. The parking was sort of expensive, it was like an extra $50/day to park there so I'd keep that in mind if you're doing more than one night because that could rack up pretty quickly. There is no complimentary breakfast, but they do have a bar downstairs that had some grab & go items, along with coffee. Plenty of places around for breakfast too. We received a $10 credit for the downstairs bar with our stay, that was nice.

Fantastic service from the staff from the word go. My friends and I were arriving at different times and they were super accommodating to make sure we had adjoining rooms. My service dog was respected as not a pet in the environment (massive kudos there!) and when it was time to leave the valet team only had a moment of confusion with the vehicle because of the international plates which is something I'm very used to. They were super professional about getting to the bottom of where they'd parked it, even offering chairs for us to wait on. Absolutely the greatest hotel I've stayed at in quite a while.

Unsafe and disrespectful. A man woke me up at 1:20am banging my door yelling “security security” he demanded that I opened the door since they supposedly got an alert from the smoke detector. I told him “there is no alarm going on and I’m not smoking, I have never smoke. I’m not going to open, I’m alone here and I don’t feel safe letting you inside my room at this time. I don’t even know if you are truly security”. He said, with a very bad attitude, well if you don’t open right now you are going to get charged $250. I said no. I’m calling the front desk. Long story short, I got my friend from the other room to come and be present when he enter the room, security said oh yeah it’s true, I don’t smell anything and before he left the room he was giving us huge attitude. Not mindful of the time. Btw he was the one that smelled like a chimney, he had a very strong smell himself. They never apologized, I got yelled at and even when I went to the front desk to complain, he was very rude and not professional. I’m extremely disappointed since the whole situation was disrespectful. Please never come here, you put yourself at risk of having an anxiety attack and not having a restful night as expected in a descent normal hotel.

Enjoyed my 3 night stay. .Room was clean, bed comfortable. Room a bit small but fine for my business stay. A Healthy cafe block away very good food open 24 hrs. There is small cafe inside hotel that serves Starbucks. Hotel staff all very friendly. I'd stay here again.
