It's back. My third visit to Philadelphia and finally I could taste thr famous Jim's cheestake. And i wasn't disappointed! Size is good meat is tender, onions are delicious and the whiz is cheesy and they use double paper for a reason. This is comfort food not your quinoa health place! A lot of seating upstairs as well with a nice view over the street. As of march '25 everything is still looking brandnew and in very good condition!

Delicious Philly cheesesteak sandwiches here. I don’t do a lot of bread so they put wax paper over the bread and then made the sandwich so I could eat all the toppings without the bread. It was perfect. Absolutely delicious.

It was my first time visiting Philly and this place was the cheesesteak recommendation I got from a friend. I went with provolone + onions. Overall, it was decent; I wouldn't mind eating it again, but I was a little underwhelmed. I expected the steak to be seasoned at least a little bit. It was ready lighting fast (like 90 seconds after I ordered). The place has a little bit of sitting room inside (and standing tables outside), and beware, they are cash only. Next time I'm in Philly, I'd probably try somewhere else instead of coming here as a first option.

Went here because it was recommended. I've heard people rave about Philly Cheesesteaks my entire life. It was good, but I feel like I could find something of similar quality in any region of the country. I had to put salt and pepper on the sandwich because it was a bit bland. The aesthetic of the place was honestly my favorite part. Maybe I had them hyped up in my head too much, but they were nothing to rave about. I'm not knocking Jim's, I just think my expectations were too high. Also, charging extra to put lettuce on the sandwich seems a little sad to me. This place is definitely a tourist trap, and heads up, it's cash only.

Cash only was a real bummer, but they do have an ATM machine. Took a little time to get through the line, but it was all fresh and the crew was working hard. Price is a little high, but overall reasonable. Bathrooms are single person with nowhere to hang your bag and no mirror. Seats are smaller than an airplane, with the bars digging into you, so expect not to sit all the way back or have to turn it to the side.
