The long was long, but moved at a good place. They had music blasting across the street that, when the line moved to be right in front of it, made it hard to talk to people (including placing the food order). There are two windows for ordering; the first is for your sandwich, where you order, pay, and get your sandwich (very quickly!), and the second is for extras, like fries and drinks. Don't be discouraged and think you didn't get enough cheese on your fries... because it's all dripped to the bottom! Oh, and this is the only place I know of that offers both: Coke AND Pepsi!

Cheesesteak! Enough said. What a fantastic place. And it was right across the street from Pat's. The meat was plentiful; the cheese was tasty; and the bread was soft. I thought the combination of the three made the sandwich very easy to eat. I took a Lyft from Independence Hall to Geno's so I would not have to deal with the parking. Glad I did.

I visited this place as one of my friends visiting Philly wanted to try Philly Cheese steak and apparently Pat's and Geno's were famous, at least we were told so. We tried both places in comparison Geno's didn't thrill us much. But it was okay Philly cheese steak, large pieces didn't feel good as you eat it. the staff was friendly in taking the orders. The food was out in no time served at right temperature. There were lot of outdoor seating arrangements throughout the shop. There were condiments and napkins available. Good luck in finding a parking nearby or a restroom. You can take an Uber and visit both Geno's and Pat's. More to get some check mark on legacy of the cheese steak joints.

This is an interesting cheese steak. If you want a cheese steak that taste like steak Umm's this is the place for you. We have eaten at Jim's, Shay’s Steaks, Dalessandro's, Ishkabibble's, Woodrow's, Pat's, Jays steaks, Shanks, then Gino's is by far our least favorite one we have ever tried. We checked it off out list to try and that will probably be the last time we go here. The place looks nice though.

I just wanted fries — a simple craving! Geno’s did a great job of fulfilling that craving. Their cheese fries were perfectly crispy and cheesy all the way from the top to the bottom of the cup.
