It’s my second time here. The lobster and clam chowder here is my favorite among the ones I’ve had in several states across the U.S. It might be because of the rich seasoning, the fresh ingredients, and the generous portions. Plus, the prices here aren’t as outrageous as in ex. California, making the overall experience feel well worth the money. The staff are also very friendly and patient. I’ll definitely come back whenever I get the chance.

Chowder, chowder, chowder!!! We ate here 3x in the week we were in Boston . Everything was good. I had the chowder twice, including a takeout . The Calamari Balsamic salad for lunch was great. The breaded calamari was almost melt in your mouth . It was a generous mound on top of the lettuce . Their scrod was cooked perfectly . I did not have to wait for a table after 1 pm for lunch but be prepared to wait about 25 minutes for a table , even before 6 pm. They do not take reservations.

Boston Sail Loft was an amazing experience! My friend and I enjoyed every moment of our visit. We started with a delicious soup that came in a unique presentation—served in a charming cup that made it even more enjoyable. The flavors were rich and comforting. For the main course, we had the fried seafood, which was crispy, light, and full of fresh flavors. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The waterfront view and cozy atmosphere made the meal even better. The service was top-notch, making it a memorable outing.

Came for the clam chowder and was not disappointed. The clam chowder was overflowing and extremely tasty. The fish and chips was very light and flaky, but was fairly mild in terms of flavor. Still really good just not very buttery or rich as other fish and chips. Would give this place a 4.4 out of 5 stars if Google had a decimal system for reviews. Would go back for the atmosphere and for the clam chowder.

Boston Sail Loft is a seafood restaurant located in the heart of the Long Wharf, serving hundreds of customers over the years. The staff are friendly, with the food coming out quite quickly and served in a presentable manner. They explained the menu as well as any recommendations, and made sure any allergies were dealt with. The food is quite good as well. The portion is good for the price, even if it is a bit on the expensive side. The Clam chowder is one of the best I've ever gotten here, and it has fresh ingredients and a great taste. The fried options were fried to perfection, quite crispy and not too oily.
