What a nice surprise… for 20 years that I travel in Korea I have lived in many hotels, luxurious contemporary but also “Stay” with kitchen and I do not know why I have never tried this historic hotel that is the “KOREANA HOTEL” thinking of an old-fashioned and dusty side…. But it is quite the opposite. A welcome that could not be more charming, elegant without ostentation… varied clientele… businessmen, large families, tourists… the rooms with their 70´ character are magnificently maintained, the bedding extraordinary, the bathrooms of the old marble palaces and stylish taps, note the spring water good to drink. and finally the breathtaking view of the city through large bay windows! The services of the restaurants are also very appetizing and a superb buffet lunch to try!… for sure I will come back and without delay I will check the dates in advance because this hotel is always full!

This hotel is on a great location near public transportation and walking distance from some sites to visit like on of the palaces. Clean rooms and nice amenities. I wish there was a little more light in the bathroom but it is workable. The windows are setup to get fresh air into the room if you want it. The breakfast service was not that great, ok but not great. The staff in this location didn’t speak much English and I could get my translator to work properly so ordering a latte for two was a challenge and we ended up only getting one latte. This breakfast was the only western style meal I had the whole trip. There is a convenience store by the entrance of the hotel which is super handy for bottled water, quick snacks and an ATM.

Booked a double room for three nights. The room was on a high floor, it had a view. The room size was good, the bed was very comfortable and clean. The reception staff were kind and helpful. I would stay there again. The location was a short walk from the metro and the palace. A convenience store is just outside.

Koreana Hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to City Hall Station, with the express airport bus stopping directly at the entrance. It’s also within walking distance of many restaurants and key attractions like the palace. The staff provide only basic customer service, which is fairly standard for Seoul, so don’t expect an overly customer-oriented experience. Some rooms feel a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but you can tell that when the hotel first opened in 1972, it was ahead of its time. Even now, the design doesn’t feel outdated. One downside is the strong scent of detergent used for the linens, which can be quite irritating. Overall, it was still a good stay, and I’d consider returning.

Glad we choose to stay at this hotel with convenient value of money. We highly recommend this hotel, very clean and neat. We had short pleasant stay, they upgraded our room. The room was Spacious and super clean. The team at reception are very friendly and helpful.
