Perfect!
Pungcheon Jangeo is an absolute must-visit for eel lovers! The eel is incredibly fresh—straight from the fish tank to the grill. The texture is perfectly chewy, and the flavor is amazing. What makes it even better is the service—they grill the eel for you, ensuring it’s cooked to perfection every time. It was so good that we ended up ordering an extra portion! If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this fantastic dining experience. Highly recommended!

Good!
We came here early to avoid the crowd at dinner… going upstairs without waiting, already full of people though. Staff already prepared everything and order for us ( as everyone had to order one portion of eel ). We have high expectation on that but unfortunately the eel doesn’t taste crispy and the meat texture is too soft. Not sure if this is because of the type of eel or it feels like not fresh (or the eel have not enough exercise. ) Service is not bad though but it’s really not the type of eel we have before. A bit disappointed !

Perfect!
The place offered an outstanding dining experience with the best eel BBQ I’ve ever tried. The flavors were exceptional, and the quality of the eel was top-notch. The staff was also fantastic—friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. For anyone who loves eel or is looking to enjoy a superb BBQ experience with great service, this place is a must visit!

Perfect!
A unique restaurant in Seoul that serves grilled eel. NOTED THE SERVING IS BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE (they will not ask you, e.g. 3 people get 3 eels). Just write your name down on the list at the entrance, quite a long queue on weekday night but worth the wait. Most people are tourists since Koreans usually don't queue for food. Eel is freshly grilled at the table and the staff shows how to eat: wrap in the veggie with ginger, onion and sauce. Highly recommended to try if you have time.

Perfect!
The eel was meticulously cooked on top of charcoal. The taste was smoky, fresh with a some crisp on the outside. I would strongly recommend this place
