First of all the staff were absolutely amazing, always very smiley and happy to help, nothing was too much for them, there was one lady in particular who made sure to greet us every day and say goodbye before she left and I wish I could remember her name, she was usually at the bar in the breakfast area and was there almost every day of our stay. The reception staff who greeted us were also lovely and I cannot fault the staff at all; however the rooms weren’t the best, they were always clean but they could use a refurb, some of the wallpaper looked like it was about to come off and we did notice the first room we were in had a stale/mouldy smell to it and the balconies didn’t look overly safe so I wouldn’t lean on them. The pool area was lovely, the pool water seemed clean and the sun loungers were clean also. The breakfast wasn’t massively varied but there was something for everyone however something that put us off was the birds that used to hang around and I saw them landing and eating off of serving spoons a couple of times which I thought was a bit unsanitary. There was lots to do in the area and we weren’t bored for the entirety of our stay here, but the best part about this hotel was definitely the staff.

TLDR - absolutely terrible and would not recommend at all...STAY AWAY!!! This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Upon arrival, our first room reeked of mold so badly that it was uninhabitable. We were moved to an "upgraded" second room, only to find that it had no functioning air conditioning, making it unbearably uncomfortable. In the middle of the night, we were temporarily moved to a 3rd room with AC just so we could sleep. The problems didn’t stop there — every room we saw had moldy washrooms, and the towels provided were ripped, stained and in disgraceful condition. The hand faucet pressure is so strong that water will splash everywhere and leak behind the fixture onto the floor. To make matters worse, when we brought these issues to management, they did absolutely nothing meaningful to address the situation. We were offered a free meal in the restaurant or a taxi to the airport—both insulting and completely inadequate given the appalling state of the hotel and the stress caused by having to move into 3 rooms. This place clearly has no regard for cleanliness, maintenance, or guest satisfaction. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this hotel at all costs. Sorry to say but this is a 2* property at best, let alone the 4* rating.

Great!
Enjoyed our stay at Bluesotel. Had a great experience with family. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The Staffs were also welcoming and helpful. Also enjoyed the breakfast here. The hotel’s prime location was really good, close to beach and market .

Worst.
Not your typical Thai experience. I am still staying this hotel and have not quite experienced this kind of mismanagement with the housekeeping. This is by no means a "cheap" hotel, it is quite competitively priced with the other "more branded" hotels but the housekeeping seems quite disorganized and untrained. Despite switching on the "Clean My Room" button and repeated requests - the room was not cleaned the entire day. Even the next day, same situation. When it was in fact cleaned, the bin not cleared, room not mopped, not enough towels kept for the number of people in the room, beds not properly done, the tea bags not replaced. These are all the little things that make a good experience. These are not things guests should ask for one by one. It is quite a basic housekeeping checklist. While expressing out concern at the reception as well, the staff is quite dismissive. Writing this review here on a public platform so the right people hopefully see this and take the required action for better service.

I don’t understand how so many people accept the lack of cleanliness in this hotel. We have been in the nearby Ava Sea (same level) and was much cleaner. We had to change to Holiday Inn after first night. Booked 7 nights in Blue Sotel, saw 3 rooms all dirty. But then the breakfast happened. I had to pick several mugs to find a clean one, same with the bowls. If they cannot clean this, I don’t want to know how the food is being prepared. We had to leave after. The hotel gives a bad impression with its fines “advertising”. Fine for losing the card, fine for not returning a towel, fines everywhere! I regret for not taking more pictures, but I’m not the only one seeing the huge problem with DIRT, NEGLECT and MOLD. On top, they clean the room so well that they left the card from a previous guests.
