Good customer service. Vibrant market with high quality selections. Pasta made on site. The seafood section smells great, no stank or harsh fish odors, clean and fresh.

I was amazed & in awe of this place! We were just there for a quick visit/ walk through on our way to dinner reservations somewhere - I wished we were eating THERE! ? My friend’s daughter knows we love Italian stuff & wanted us to see this place. We were lucky to have a little wine tasting w/ cheese that was offered…everything looks so fresh & delicious I wanted to buy so many things!! The presentation was absolutely beautiful! You can purchase ingredients to prepare food at home or purchase what is made to take out or eat there at several diff spots within this complex. I must go back someday!

Fortunate to work nearby this awesome place. It’s a supermarket. It’s a restaurant. It’s a cafe. It’s a restaurant. It’s a little theme park. It’s a little culinary museum.
It’s not a place to where you can purchase things at affordable prices. You can walk 1.5 blocks to Trader Joe’s for that purpose. Prices are often marked up 2-3 times of nearby supermarket.
However, the experience you get here is unparalleled. Visiting Rome/Napoli/Firenze is not within your reach, then visiting this Eataly may satisfy your desires of Italian gourmet craving. Well, partially.
And the pizza/pasta restaurant actually presents some values. Pricing is not bad at all and of course, you will experience some of the finest Italian pasta/pizza in NYC.
If your NYC traveling plan includes a visit to the Flatiron district, then this place shall not be missed out.

Visiting Eataly is always a joy. It's a place where you can browse the wonderful merchandise or sit & relax with a simple coffee/pastry/gelato or appertif, lunch, dinner etc. The place just says take a break and be Italian for a moment. The dishes in each area restaurant are thought out and finely prepared. Your sure to find a gift for someone whether they are a foodie or not. The variety of Italian products from pasta, EVOO, cheeses, can goods, chocolate, housewares is endless. Over the years I've found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Whether you live nearby or you're visiting NYC Eataly is a must see!
The surrounding area (Flatiron) offers beautiful sightseeing of Architecture, parks, small museums and other fine restaurants.

We had a ciccio from the cafe, which is a giant cream puff filled with chantilly cream. It was by far the best chantilly cream we've ever had. Rich, fluffy, full of vanilla flavor without feeling heavy or weighed down. The cafe has a selection of medium-sized cakes and pastries, as well as tiny bite-sized pastries (you can mix-and-match sets of 4), great for trying a variety of things. It can be very busy, with no seating available in the cafe during rush periods, so be prepared to take away instead of sit in.
We also found great quality starfruit and redcurrants in the middle of winter, which is very impressive. High quality produce - definitely recommend if you're willing to pay extra for it.
The market includes a cheese counter, deli, butcher/meat counter, fish counter, fresh pasta, produce - all your grocery and food needs in one place. There are also places to sit and eat, including the cafe mentioned before, as well as a bar and a restaurant. It's absolutely massive, which is impressive given the location.
