“Horrible Stay Ruined by Unbearable Smell” I recently stayed at Double tree and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I entered the room, I was hit with an overpowering foul smell that only worsened over time. It smelled like a mix of mold and something rotten, making it impossible to feel comfortable or relaxed. I immediately informed the front desk, but their response was dismissive. They sent someone to spray air freshener, which masked the smell for about five minutes before it returned even stronger. I requested a room change, but I was told there were no other rooms available. Sleeping in the room was unbearable, and I spent most of the night coughing and trying to cover the smell with towels. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the room was questionable, which likely contributed to the stench. This was a complete waste of money, and I regret staying here. The management’s lack of concern for guest comfort and hygiene is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere else to stay! Rating: 1/5

Anyone can easily identify this hotel to be luxurious. The food here was excellent and so was the service. The rooms were big and comfortable, with the suites with 3 rooms. Even the bathrooms were exceptionally clean and the hotel was high- tech. The interior of the rooms was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Varanasi.

Wouldn’t qualify them as a luxury hotel. I would have given them 3 stars otherwise, but on the last day, they really overstepped it. Their overall service is poor by Hilton standards. Staff needs better training. After my checkout, they took my bags out of my room, when I was not around. But it’s worse because I had a few things outside of my bag, they picked them up and put them in my bag before taking my luggage to the reception. How is it acceptable for them to open my bag, in my absence, and put things inside it, is beyond me. This is an absolute invasion of privacy and they make it seem like I was staying there for free, so they couldn’t get rid of me faster. Overall, the service was slow. For basic things like getting more water sent to the room, I had to make multiple calls to the front desk each time. Hygiene is on the lower side too. My first day there, I walked on the bedroom floor barefoot and they went black from all the dust. Had to get it mopped. All the corners were dusty. Bathrooms could be cleaned better. Corners had hair lying around from previous occupants. The only plus point is the food. The food was great every day. Mostly in a small town, it is difficult to get good quality hygienic food, so just for food, I would recommend this place. Overall, it not the premium service I get at DoubleTree Hiltons in other cities.

The buffets were excellent with both traditional Indian food as well as international flavors. It provided various fruits, fresh vegetables, and the desserts were excellent! I would recommend it highly. The service of one waiter, Faheem Jaron , was exceptional and beyond the call of duty. He served the milk tea waiting until it was properly done and opened the pomegranate cleaning out the “seeds” for us. We enjoyed our meals there very much.

Overall service is poor by Hilton standards.Staff seems to require extra training. Reception staff looks incapable solving customer problems.They are list bothered about comfort of guests. Wouldn’t consider even 3* hotel.Regretted for choosing it. Hygiene level 1/5.
