We stayed one night at the Mountaineer Lodge. It was a quick turn off from the highway to get to this lodge. Very near the stores, cafes, groceries. Check in was quick and pleasant. The rooms were very new, clean, and comfortable looking. There was even a cute little welcome message and gift on our arrival. Sadly, we didn't get to use the hot tub, as we arrived late and we planned to leave before it opened (10 am). We enjoyed the breakfast around 9 am and it was reasonable to get a seat but there were still lots of people. It was standard continental foods. We left fulfilled for our day of adventure. It was a short drive up to Lake Louise where we spent the next day. Would stay again!

The communication before our stay and customer service here were both excellent. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, answer our questions and resolve any issues we had. Although the location is close to many interesting sites, the train that goes by on a regular basis can be somewhat annoying while trying to sleep. I liked the windows opened as the rooms were warm. I found turning the fan on with some earplugs did the trick! We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and although nothing fancy it gave us enough options to satisfy both myself and 17 year old son. The only suggestion I would have is with regards to cleanliness. I think it could be improved upon in the rooms and bathrooms in particular. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here.

My business trip was exceptional; all aspects of my stay, from the front desk staff and hotel room to the hot tub and breakfast, were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel and highly recommend it; I will certainly return.

Nice front staff. The two guys that work the breakfast are great. Breakfast is such an unappreciated amenity for a day of hiking. The location is excellent for visiting the best spots in Banff National Park. Good sized hot tub and coffee was available throughout the day.

If you are staying in lake Louise, this is the most affordable place to be. The rooms have everything you might need. Except for a fan. The housekeeping was barely there, but it was okay. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was more than you need. I would go back.
