We love love love this hotel! It’s our second time back and it never disappoints. To have that stunning view from your room is absolutely worth every penny. And after hours when all the tour buses are gone, you pretty much have the whole Moraine Lake to yourselves and it’s next level serenity! I don’t normally care for reading a book for fun/relaxing but this place got me doing that lol. The whole staff were all very nice and friendly. Breakfast is part of the hotel fee and then around lunch time, they also have yummy soup, salad, cheese/bread, and then some cookies and coffee/tea mid afternoon for snacks. And of course kayaking on that gorgeous lake! Bed was comfy and walls weren’t too thin so we had good sleep.
Of note: the only way you are allowed to drive through in your personal vehicle towards Moraine Lake is if you stay in this hotel; there is literally a check point where they have people specifically in place just to check for proof of your hotel stay.
Also they’re usually only open June-September (due to increased risk of avalanche) so plan your trip accordingly.
Oh and great gift shop and cool restaurant which require reservations with priority for those staying at the hotel.

Moraine lake lodge has the most amazing views of the lake. The location is very peaceful and tranquil! The hiking trails are right outside your door. They offer complimentary canoe rentals to guest. The breakfast each morning are delicious and dinners are some of the best around. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend staying here!

The location is spectacular. Moraine Lake is truly a beautiful place but you can catch a bus from Lake Louise for a visit as well. In terms of the lodge, all the people are super nice, the breakfasts are great and dinner is tasty though a bit over priced. My main reason for the 3 stars is the cabin. We paid $1500/night for a cabin and it was not well maintained. When we got there half the cabin outlets wouldn’t work. That did get resolved once we advised them. There had been rain Friday night. Saturday the roof started to leak down the blind at the big front window. Dripped for a hour and all I could do was put a towel under it. I told them and was told nobody could look at it until later in the week. I’m actually doubtful that it’ll get looked at as the windowsill looks like this has happened before. For $1500/night, I expect better. I don’t recommend staying at the lodge for that price.

This was one of the nicest places we have visited, amazing location, and the hotel lived up to expectations. Loved the welcome gift, that was such a nice touch. Breakfast and lunch included was also such a nice touch, and don't forget free access to a canoe ($160 an hour normally). Plus the resturant was amazing, top quality.

Moraine Lake exceeded my expectations! Turquoise waters, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush forests, create a breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Hiking trails offer stunning views, and canoeing on the lake is serene. Friendly park rangers provide insightful information. A must-visit destination in Banff National Park.
