My recent visit to Saskatoon Berry Barn offered a blend of experiences. The three-course meal began with a cup of cabbage borscht, which unfortunately was overly sour and not to my taste. I struggled to enjoy it beyond a couple of spoonfuls. The chicken parmesan was decent but unremarkable, deserving a rating of 2.5 or 3 out of 5. However, the highlight of the meal was the Saskatoon Berry Pie paired with vanilla ice cream. Both were exceptional, with the pie and ice cream receiving a well-deserved 5 out of 5. The Berry Barn's ambiance is particularly appealing for families. The outdoor space is inviting, with ample room for children to play and for visitors to enjoy a relaxing stroll. Unfortunately, the service within the restaurant itself was lacking, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. In contrast, the customer service outside the restaurant was excellent. The souvenir shop, while on the pricier side, offered a charming selection of keychains, fridge magnets, and other mementos. The staff there were friendly and helpful, earning the shop a solid 5 out of 5 rating. In summary, while the restaurant falls short in terms of food and service, the overall experience at Saskatoon Berry Barn benefits from its beautiful setting and the superb customer service at the souvenir shop. For the restaurant, I would rate it 2 out of 5, but considering the entire visit, including the outdoor environment and the souvenir shop, the overall experience is a commendable 4 out of 5.

The atmosphere here was appealing with large windows and a view of the river. We took a look at the menu and discovered there were few dairy free options. Burgers are usually a safe bet if asked for with no cheese. However, we were informed by our waiter that all of the buns had butter on them and could not be omitted. As well, there would be no guarantee of no cross contamination ( I can only assume gluten free would be likewise). My partner got the burger with lettuce instead of a bun, the burger came out cold and honestly disappointing. They sent it back to be heated and the burger came back and it had been cut into (pictured below). Overall the meal was lackluster. If you have any dietary restrictions I would not recommend eating here. We will not be returning.

The Berry Barn is a wonderful place to visit and stroll. The food is excellent whether it be dessert or dinner. Gorgeous views and many spots to stop and take candid pictures with friends or family.

A bit on the expensive side for breakfast, but the food was delicious and you definitely pay for the atmosphere. Nice place to visit for a meal and to explore the shop, greenhouse, and river walk if you are passing through Saskatoon. We had breakfast reservations for 9am, right at opening, and the restaurant filled up very quickly after. Make a reservation if you plan to eat in!

Best place to hang out in the summer with the short drive. Good food, good vibes, good atmosphere, what else you need! Poutine fries and cheese cake are highly recommended for vegetarians . The dessert dishes are very small to carry. But it can be ignored over the taste it has.
