What results can you receive after submitting an ESTA application?

The result of your ESTA application will appear as one of the following three outcomes.

1. ESTA Approved (Authorization Approved)
This means that U.S. authorities have approved your ESTA travel authorization under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
Once the application is approved, the system will display a confirmation message along with payment information.

However, an approved ESTA does not guarantee entry into the United States.
The final decision on admission is made by CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) officers at the U.S. port of entry.

2. ESTA Not Authorized (Travel Not Authorized)
In this case, you cannot travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
However, this does not mean that travel to the United States is completely prohibited.
You may still apply for a visa through a U.S. embassy or consulate if necessary.

The visa application process may take longer than an ESTA application, so you should consider this when planning your trip.

3. Authorization Pending
This status means that your ESTA application is under additional review.
In most cases, a decision is made within 72 hours.
