ESTA becomes invalid if your passport expires or if major information has changed.
In this case, you must reapply for ESTA using your new passport information.
When a new ESTA application is required:
- When a new passport has been issued
- When key passport details such as passport number, issuing country, name, gender, or date of birth have changed
When a new ESTA application is not required:
- When only minor information such as your email address, U.S. address, or contact details has changed
Please note that if your passport is replaced or renewed, you must apply for a new ESTA, as the previous authorization will no longer be valid.
